The weekend weather is continuing with the slightly cooler but sunny theme so I say get out and enjoy the great outdoors as we never know when it’ll come to a wet, cold end!!
Mulch roses with well-rotted manure, compost or in the case of my husband grass clippings!
The foliage of early spring flowering bulbs can now be removed from the border or mown off if in the grass but only if they have started to turn yellow, if they are still green it is better to leave them.
Don’t let hanging baskets and pots dry out!!
Tender plants, bedding and half hardy annuals can all be planted outside now as all risk of frosts should have passed.
Check roses for suckers and aphids.
Tie climbing plants onto their supports to encourage them to climb!
Mow and trim lawn edges.
Check stakes of tall growing perennials.
Weed or weed kill paths and patios.
Keeping weeding and dead-heading!
Most of all enjoy the sunshine and relax in the garden!
