Dead head daffodils but no need to tie up their leaves just leave them to die down naturally.

Divide large clumps of snowdrops – they establish much better when still in leaf this is referred to as “planting in the green”.

De-thatch and aerate the lawn.

Weed the borders.

Sow some seeds – here are some hardy annuals that can be sown directly outside – Californian Poppy, Nasturtiums, Calendulas.
Clarkia, Cornflower, Candytuft and Love in the Mist.

Plant agapanthus, lilies and gladioli for summer colour.

Feed your roses using a fertilizer with a high pot ash content – sprinkle around the base and lightly fork in.

Cut the lawn.

Prune winter flowering jasmine.

Divide border perennials.

Dead-head pansies and primroses
