Check stored apples for signs of rot and remove any affected fruits.
If you haven’t done so already force your rhubarb as the blanched stems are much more tender and succulent – to do this cover the crown with a box or bucket and in a couple of weeks tender blanched stems will appear ready for picking – yum.
Buy your seed potatoes.
Prune fruit trees, gooseberries and currants.
Tomatoes can be sown in a warm greenhouse or windowsill.
Harvest – winter brassica’s such as kale, broccoli & cabbage other things to harvest include leeks, parsnips, celeriac and swede.
Plant rhubarb, garlic and bare root fruit trees.
